Abstract

The Government publicized National Education Policy 2020, which promotes reformative and fundamental change of higher education in the country (MoE, National Education Policy, 2020). The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 symbolizes a revolutionary move in transforming India's educational surroundings. The policy highlights the evolution from rote learning to inclusive, multidisciplinary education, the HR practices to ease professional development, capacity building, and the incorporation of digital learning aids. The policy plan can only be attaining its objectives throughout deliberated, standpoint and yearly planning at HEIs and overall level. The initiated mission may contribute significantly across all the existing higher education system. The HEIs should render academic supports effectively and productively in all possible way. The strategic human resource management will have to design well in advance for its execution and for implementation of practices in HEIs. There is need to undergo training for the faculty members and educationalists for handling problems and challenges to achieve NEP 2020 as envisioned. The present research paper focuses on the problems, issues, and challenges of HEIS and the strategy for execution in line with the NEP for the same. The SoPs for the Strategic Human Resource Management Practices are elucidated. The results highlight the credibility of NEP 2020 to develop personnel that are equipped for the economy and emphasize the need for flexible HR policies in HEIs that endorses creativeness, inclusivity, and sustainability.
