Abstract

Working Capital Management plays a vital role in maintaining the liquidity, profitability, and overall financial stability of an organization. The present study titled “Study of Risk and Return Investment Valuation for Working Capital Management at Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited ” focuses on analyzing the relationship between risk, return, and investment valuation in the management of working capital within the organization. The study examines how effective utilization of current assets and current liabilities influences operational efficiency and financial performance. The primary objective of the study is to evaluate the efficiency of working capital management practices at BHEL and to analyze the associated risks and returns on investments. The research is based on secondary data collected from annual reports, financial statements, company records, journals, and published reports. Financial tools and techniques such as ratio analysis, trend analysis, working capital turnover ratio, current ratio, quick ratio, and return on investment analysis are used to interpret the financial performance of the company. The study identifies the importance of maintaining an optimum level of working capital to ensure smooth business operations while minimizing financial risks. It also highlights the impact of investment decisions on profitability and liquidity management. The findings reveal that effective working capital management contributes significantly to improving operational performance and achieving long-term financial sustainability.
