E-governance has become an essential mechanism for modernizing the agriculture sector in India by improving the efficiency and accessibility of public services. This paper explores the role of key digital initiatives, namely PM-KISAN, e-NAM and the Soil Health Card Scheme, in strengthening agricultural development. The study is based on secondary data collected from official reports, academic publications and government sources. The findings suggest that these initiatives have enhanced farmers’ financial stability, ensured transparency in agricultural marketing and encouraged scientific farming practices. Despite these benefits, challenges such as inadequate digital infrastructure, low digital literacy and limited awareness among farmers continue to hinder effective implementation. The study concludes by recommending measures to enhance the impact of e-governance in agriculture.
