Abstract

Global supply chains faced unprecedented pressure in 2024 as geopolitical fragmentation, trade restrictions, regional conflicts, and strategic competition reshaped the international economic landscape. Firms increasingly moved away from efficiency-driven global sourcing toward resilience-oriented supply chain configurations. This study examines how organizations strategically realigned supply chains in response to geopolitical fragmentation during 2024. The research analyzes shifts toward nearshoring, friend-shoring, diversification of suppliers, and risk management integration within supply chain strategy. By evaluating firm-level strategic responses and organizational outcomes, the study contributes to understanding supply chain adaptation in an era of geopolitical uncertainty
