PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF MASSIVE MIMO SYSTEMS FOR 5G AND BEYOND WIRELESS NETWORKS
Abstract
Massive Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) technology is a key enabler of fifth-generation (5G) and beyond wireless communication systems, offering significant improvements in spectral efficiency, energy efficiency, and system capacity. By employing a large number of antennas at the base station, massive MIMO systems can serve multiple users simultaneously using spatial multiplexing. This paper presents a performance analysis of massive MIMO systems for 5G and beyond wireless networks. Key performance metrics such as throughput, spectral efficiency, bit error rate, and energy efficiency are analyzed under varying system parameters. MATLAB-based simulations demonstrate that massive MIMO significantly outperforms conventional MIMO systems, validating its suitability for future high-capacity wireless networks.
